Basic Chi Gong is like Tai Chi. It’s mindful, flowing movements enhance the flow of Chi creating a light relaxed feeling. Chi Gong is practiced as a way to manage stress, improve mind-body health and to prepare the person for other energy therapy modalities.

Sheng Zhen Workshop

During the first weekend in July, a Sheng Zhen Wuji Yuan Gong workshop was conducted by Anabel Alejandrino at the Good Qi Circle. A free introductory class was held on the preceding Thursday evening with a good turnout. The Sunday workshop focused on several different Sheng Zhen Qigong movements including standing sitting and lying down forms. A standing form, Kuan Yin Standing kept the class moving and sweating while quieting the mind and providing much needed relaxation. next, a Healing Qigong form done seated in a chair gave the students a break while gathering healthy and rejuvenating qi and reducing stiffness and chronic health problems. Several students noted increased mobility and reduced chronic pain during and after the exercises.

After lunch the class performed a relaxing meditation while lying down known as the 9 turns. Using visualization techniques, each student learned to follow qi flow through the meridians in order to improve the free flow of qi and circulation in the body. This meditative technique found some falling into a deep restful state and energized to continue with movement through the rest of the day. Students had the opportunity to review and purchase books, DVDs, and intructional materials from the International Sheng Zhen Society's Office which is located at Suite 213 Mile Long Building on Amorsolo in Makati.

The consensus of the class was that the workshop was a valuable success, and students had the opportunity to sign up for regularly scheduled classes to further develop their practice of Shen Zhen Qigong or try our other classes in yoga or tai chi. Future Qigong workshops will be held at the Good Qi Circle Centre in upcoming months so stay tuned.

The Good Qi Circle Center Grand Opening was a success!!

A new place for reviving that good energy was officially opened last May 21, 2008 and even before the center was opened for business, everybody was already in good spirits for this event. This definitely gave the place the right �qi� everyone was looking for in a center.


The center was decorated with beautiful ensembles; everyone who walked in the door was wearing a smile. A gathering of friends and strangers as one family commemorated the opening of this timely event for the bustling city.

Among those guests who graced us with their presence were (names) which contributed to the success of the grand opening.

The Good Qi Circle Center�s grand opening was truly a night to remember for the Good Qi family.
